STUDY OF THE SURFACE OF MICROCHANNEL STRUCTURES AND PREPARATIONS AT THE NANO-LEVEL |

The article presents the results of the study of the surface of the original optical glass blanks used in the production of microchannel plates (MCP), as well as the inner surface of the channel using scanning probe microscopy. The results obtained allow us to estimate the changes in the surface topology from the factors of technological operations. The results of the work are interesting because the quality of the surface was not previously assessed in the channel and on the surface of the plates. Taking into account all these factors allows us to outline ways to achieve an atomic-smooth surface of the channels, which will help reduce the noise level and increase the gain of the MCP, and, consequently, increase the range of night vision devices.
