Supramolecular Formations Factor
in the Dynamic Viscosity of Water |
Pavlov A.N.
The dynamic viscosity of liquid water at temperatures below 290 K is non-monotonically dependent
on pressure. This is due to the presence of supramolecular structures in the water, which are fractal
aggregates. The fractal model allows you to describe the temperature and baric dependence of the
dynamic viscosity of water. In particular, the phenomenon of decreasing viscosity with increasing pressure
at temperatures below 290 K, which is not typical for liquids, occurs due to the destruction of fractals.
Contributions to dynamic viscosity from both supramolecular structures and the chaotic component of
water are determined.
Keywords: dynamic viscosity, supramolecular structures, fractal, vacancy, Brownian motion.
