Redistribution of the Concentration of Monodispersed
Nanoparticles in a Nanoliquid Flow Through
a Flat Channel During its Heat Treatment |

Within the framework of the classical singlephase model of transport phenomena in nanofluids,
an engineering approach has been synthesized for assessing the uniformity of the distribution of
monodisperse nanoparticles in a laminar fl ow of a nanofluid during its heating/cooling in a horizontal
fl at channel without nanoparticle adhesion on "wetted" surfaces. Assuming a stationary process and
the averaged temperature profi le found from the solution of the Grätz-Lévy problem for a parabolic
velocity profi le, an accurate analytical normalized relation for the transverse profi le of nanoparticle
concentration, depending on the thermaldiffusion-diffusion and sedimentation-diffusion numbers, has
been obtained. Analysis for the Al2
O3
+H2
O nanofluid during its thermal treatment in a flat microchannel
has demonstrated its adequacy.
