Application of the Simulation Method When
Selecting Vibration Dampener Parameters |

This article describes the stages of constructing a vibration protection system model and the prerequisites
for selecting its key parameters. It also substantiates the factors influencing the operation of the protected
equipment. The proposed method for selecting optimal vibration damper parameters based on a simplified
simulation model suggests considering a single parameter: the mass of the damping element. An example of
calculating a vibration protection system model using Lagrange's equations of the second kind is provided. The
mathematical framework for the calculations is based on analytical mechanics methods and Mathcad software.
