Modeling the Motion of Charged Particles at Various
Stages of the Evolution of the Current Sheet |

For the «Current Sheet» CS-3 setup (GPI RAS), a three-dimensional magnetic fi eld configuration
was modeled, and electron motion trajectories were obtained at various stages of the current sheet
evolution. The current sheet was modeled using the Drude model. Depending on the energy of the
electrons emitted by the cathode, both their drift to the chamber wall and capture in the current
sheet were obtained. A qualitative change in the nature of charged particle motion during the time
evolution of the current sheet was demonstrated.
