Power Supply for Atmospheric Pressure
Low-Temperature Plasma Generator |

This paper presents a compact power supply for a piezotransformer integrated into an atmospheric
pressure low-temperature plasma generator. The article discusses the properties of piezotransformers
and the peculiarities of their operation and application for low-temperature plasma generation.
Based on a comparative analysis of power supply topologies and feedback circuits for controlling the
piezotransformer, an E-class circuit topology was selected. Numerical simulations of the main blocks of
the power supply were conducted alongside with the equivalent circuit of the piezotransformer. Schematic
diagrams were designed, and printed circuit boards for the device were fabricated. The device's
functionality was verified at an output power of 12 W and a voltage of 5.5 kV, resulting in discharges
using a piezotransformer powered by the developed power supply.
