Modeling of Heat and Mass Transfer Processes
During Depressurization of Transporting
Fittings in Porous Media |

An approach to the development of a mathematical model that formalizes heat and mass transfer processes
that occur during depressurization of transport fi ttings localized in a porous medium is considered. The
main constitutive relations of the model include equations of conservation of energy and mass, which
describe the hydrodynamics of non-isothermal fl uid fl ow in a porous medium, taking into account
heat exchange with the environment. A series of computational experiments revealed the main factors
influencing the sensitivity of the thermal imaging method for monitoring the depressurization of transport
fittings using temperature signatures on the surface of the objects under study. The developed model can
be used to justify and select technical solutions when developing thermal imaging systems for monitoring
the condition of conveying fittings in porous media.
