The full magnetization process of the rare-earth intermetallic compound Ho2
Fe14B and its hydride
Ho2
Fe14BH5,5 has been studied in an external magnetic fi eld of the megagauss range. These
compounds, under the infl uence of the fi eld, transform from a state with ferrimagnetic ordering to
a state with ferromagnetic ordering, and in a certain range of magnetic fi elds and temperatures a
noncollinear phase is realized. Estimates of the critical fi elds of the orientational phase transitions
are given, and the H-T phase diagram is obtained.
