Engineering Physics Annotation << Back M&#246;ssbauer Spectroscopy of Impurity Zinc Atoms in Alkali Metal Halides and Silver Doronin V.A., Bobokhuzhaev K.U., Kiselev V.S., Marchenko A.V., Seregin P.P. Shifts and parameters of the nuclear quadrupole interaction of the Mössbauer spectra of 67Cu(67Zn) impurity atoms in the crystal lattices of sodium, potassium and silver halides. A change in the electronic structure of impurity zinc atoms is demonstrated depending on the chemical nature of the atoms of the immediate environment and their coordination. It is shown that the vacancy formed as a result of the substitution of alkali metal and silver ions by zinc centers is located in the fi rst coordination sphere from the impurity atom.
