Engineering Physics Annotation << Back Estimates of Hydrodynamic Fields During the Passage of Internal Waves from Observation Data in the East Sea Kurkina O.E., Kokoulina M.V., Epifanova A.S. Using a record of internal waves obtained in the East Sea in the autumn of 2011 as an example, the hydrodynamic fi elds of wave-induced current velocity and nonhydrostatic pressure were reconstructed based on the density fi eld of sea water. This approach makes it possible to obtain explicit quantitative characteristics of all wave fi elds (including energy fl ux) and to evaluate dynamic effects in the entire water column from surface to bottom using “non-amplitude” criteria for the intensity of internal waves.
