FOUCAULT CURRENTS IN DYNAMICS OF UNCLOSED SYSTEM WITH SELF-ACTION |

The force averaged over the oscillation period, with which an open conductor carrying the Foucault current acts on the displacement current, is the latent Abraham force, which is not equal to zero. The force with which the displacement current acts on conduction currents in an open conductor turned out to be equal to zero. The average self-force, with which an open conductor acts on itself, compensates for the average Abraham force. In this case, the average values of the forces for the period of change of the magnetic field, with which the source of the magnetic field and the open conductor interact, are equal to zero. This can become the basis for creating an electromagnetic propulsion device, in which a source of an alternating magnetic field and an open conductor can move, starting from an alternating electromagnetic field. The strong inhomogeneity of the magnetic field of the source at its periphery makes such a process efficient.
