KINEMATICS OF LIGHT WAVES WITH CORPUSCULAR PROPERTIES HARMONIZED WITH SPECIAL RELATIVITY AXIOMATICS |

A condition is found which is to be applied to the structure of the transverse plane wave’s field for the wave’s kinematics to be defi ned in a precise way with the help of the covariant formula of the 3-vector of its energy’s velocity. This velocity is being calculated in different inertial frames of reference moving perpendicularly to the wave front. It is demonstrated that the velocity of the transverse flat wave’s propagation calculated according to this formula will be equal to the speed of light in any of the above frames of reference. In particular, it is demonstrated that the wave fields of plane waves with special points of singularity in the equal phase plane will satisfy the condition of this theory’s applicability which is in harmony with the special relativity axiomatics. The character of the above special points is such that the total energy flow of the wave within the scale encompassing both the micro- and macro-world will remain finite. Due to these special points, the fields obtain properties of a corpuscle, if a corpuscle is understood as a sustainable wave package of finite energy defined at the crossing of the ray and the equal phase plane in the field’s special point. Several examples of configurations of the field with a number of special points are discussed. Configurations are shown to exist where the structure of the field within rather a wide neighbourhood around the singularities is very close to a homogeneous plane wave.
