ON INFLUENCE OF MAGNETIC FIELD ON DARK ELECTRIC CURRENT IN LIQUID |

The magnetic field reduces the dark electric current flowing in the liquid, in contact with two unequal electrodes. The relative change in the strength of the dark current is proportional to the induction of the external magnetic field. Experimental dependence changes in the dark current from the distance between the magnetic field source and the electrodes allows determine the area where the dark current is formed. It turned out that this happens in places with the maximum curvature of electrodes. It is possible that the magnetic field increases the internal resistance of the liquid-metal contact.
