STUDYING THE STATE OF ROCKS OF TRANSITIONAL ZONES UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THEIR NATURAL OCCURRENCE BY METHODS OF MINING SEISMIC IN THE COMBINED DEVELOPMENT OF KIMBERLITE TUBES
F.S. BELOUSOV

One of the acute problems in the development of kimberlite deposits is the task of controlling the stability of transition zones that ensure the safety of mining operations during downward extraction of mineral reserves in horizontal layers with a hardening backfill. The ongoing preventive work to eliminate the negative impact of mining on the stability of the transition zones does not have the desired effect, due to the underestimation of the importance of real-time control of the properties of the ore massif over the workings being laid, which in turn can lead to a man-made disaster. This problem is relevant not only for kimberlite, but also for all deposits developed under the bottom of a quarry with the laying of the developed space. The correct selection of the control method will make it possible to effectively predict the geomechanical properties for the long term and identify the zones of the unstable state of the rocks of the transition zone, which in turn will improve the reliability of determining the structural elements of the field development system. The paper considers a seismoacoustic method for evaluating the structure and physical and mechanical properties of the massif. Experimental-industrial research has been carried out, which made it possible to determine the decrease in the values of elastic wave velocities and the dynamic modulus of elasticity of the rock mass. Tomographic maps of changes in the elastic properties of the rocks of the transition zone with the fixation of possible zones of development of secondary fracturing were constructed.
Keywords: rocks, elastic properties, kimberlite deposits, state, physico-mechanical properties, secondary fracture, seismic probe, geophysical methods, underground mining.
