A STUDY OF THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF YTTRIUM OXYSULFIDES PHOSPHORS |

Physical properties crystals of yttrium oxysulfides phosphors activated by erbium ions were investigated. Magnetic susceptibility, permittivity, dielectric loss tangent were measured in the temperature range from 300 to 1000 K. The polarized vibrational spectra and IR reflection spectra of Y2O2S single crystals were studied. The optical constants of the crystals under study were determined from IR refl ection spectra. The results of spectroscopic studies of the stark structure of the activator centers of the erbium ion are presented. The radiative characteristics are determined, the luminescent lifetime of metastable state erbium ion. The Sölmeyer parameters for the ordinary and extraordinary rays are calculated. The results can be used to create new phosphor materials for visualizing IR radiation and materials for quantum electronics.
