Engineering Physics Annotation << Back INFLUENCE OF INTERFACE CURVATURE AND SOLUTION NONIDEALITY ON THE HENRY’S LAW CONSTANTS S.I. KOSHORIDZE The partial pressure of a gas dissolved in water depends on the curvature of the water-vapor interface according to the Kelvin and Gibbs formulas. In addition, near the concave surface, the water solution is imperfect. These factors cause the size dependence of the Henry’s law constants of gases contained in nanobubbles. The paper proposes a method for calculating the real Henry’s constants for some gases. Keywords: capillarity , Henry’s law, nanobubbles, Kelvin’s capillary formula.
