RESEARCH OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE COMPOSITE MATERIAL "ALUMINUM-MULTI-WALL CARBON NANOTUBES" OBTAINED BY SPARK-PLASMA SINTERING |

High-density aluminum-based composites with the addition of various concentrations of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were obtained using sparkplasma sintering (SPS). The results of studies and features of the microstructure of composites after SPS are presented. The results of microhardness measurements, tensile tests of the obtained composites are presented, and fractographic studies of their fractures after tensile tests are carried out. Based on the existing models of hardening supported by experimental results, the influence of the structural components of the composite on the mechanical properties is estimated.
