Suleymanova It is shown, that the texture sign directly linked with spatial spectrum of image has a strong correlation with the brightness spectrum. This conditions the privilege of texture sign in comparison with NDVI in remote identification of site of open dumps and buried wastes. The texture-spectral method for remote identification of wastes dumps is suggested. In this method the spectral sign is used for validation of results, obtained on texture sign.
