THE LAWS OF CONSERVATION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD’S POTENTIALS IN CLASSICAL ELECTRODYNAMICS AS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE LORENTZ CALIBRATION |

The basic equations of classical electrodynamics and the laws of conservation (of electric charge, energy and momentum of an electromagnetic field) are well known and studied in detail. However, the general set of conservation laws in classical electrodynamics include not only above-mentioned laws but others, in particular, there are conservation laws for the scalar and vector potentials of the electromagnetic field, provided that the Lorentz calibration is valid. The theoretical basis of the study is the generalization of the well-known results of Professor N.A. Umov on energy conservation in moving bodies as applied to classical electrodynamics. The analysis of the discovered conservation laws for the potentials of an electromagnetic field helps to identify specific properties of the electromagnetic field.
