REACTIVE ELECTRODYNAMICS OF UNCLOSED CONDUCTORWITH ALTERNATIVE CURRENT |

Displacement current between ends of an unclosed conductor closes the conduction electric current that means that the alternative current can flow in the unclosed electric contour. Accounting the ponderomotive action of the magnetic field on the conduction current only leads to appearance of the so called self-force violating the law of conservation of momentum. In order to conserve the momentum one needs to take into account the hidden momentum transferred to the alternative electromagnetic field. The Abraham force is the force with which, formally speaking, the alternative magnetic field acts on the displacement current compensating the self-force. One may consider such a force as a reactive one by means of which the unclosed electric contour repulses the field. When the electric circuit is infinite thin, this force can be extremely large.
