ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD IN 5-DIMENSIONAL MODEL OF EXTENDED SPACE, ITS LOCALIZATION AND INTERACTION WITH WAVEGUIDE |

Within the framework of the 5-dimensional Expanded Space Model (ESM), the structure of electromagnetic field is studied. It is shown that in the 5-dimensional space it acquires additional components Q and G, in addition to electrical and magnetic. Due to the interaction with external forces, all fi elds are localized and they gain mass. The transformation of a plane wave is considered. It is shown that under certain conditions its fields E and H can disappear and go into the fields Q and G. These new components can penetrate the barriers and holes into which the fi elds E and H cannot penetrate. The interaction of an electromagnetic wave with material objects is considered. A waveguide is chosen as such an object. It is shown that due to localization, a wave can partially penetrate into a waveguide, whose cross section is smaller than its wavelength, and propagate along it. Some evaluations of this process have been made.
