TRACKS OF DUST PARTICLES IN MAGNETIC FIELD IN DISCHARGE INITIATED BY GYROTRON IN MIXTURES OF METAL AND DIELETRIC POWDERS |

A description of the tracks of dusty plasma particles formed in exothermic chain reactions initiated by the radiation of a powerful gyrotron in mixtures of metaland dielectric powders is presented. It was found that after gyrotron is switched off, ensembles of dusty particles, whose life time is 3–4 orders of magnitude longer than the duration of the gyrotron pulse, appear in the reactor against the background of the chemical reactions. The tracks of dust particles in the reactor are visualized. The velocities of dust particles and their charge are determined.
