Engineering Physics Annotation << Back SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF THE PHYSICAL NATURE OF BALL LIGHTNING AND THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF A. RUKHADZE IN ITS IMPLEMENTATION I.A. BORIEV Recently, with the active support of A. A. Rukhadze, my article was published in the journal «Applied physics and mathematics» (2017, №5), in which it is shown that understanding the physical nature of ball lightning (BL) in the form of a bunch of a large number of positrons for the fi rst time gives an explanation to all observed properties of BL. This article titled «Physical processes in the air at strong electric fi elds of powerful streak lightning: the substantiation of positron nature of ball lightning» gives such substantiation from the fact of effective production of positrons in the air at the streak lightning discharge in the process of electron-positron pair creation. Taking into account the existence of dark matter (DM), fi lling the entire space, means that these electrons and positrons are created namely from this DM as oppositely rotating (according to their spins) material vortices. In addition, the electric fi eld of such «charged» elemental particles should be considered as the effect of their rotation on surrounding DM according to the hydrodynamics concepts. Such understanding allows justify the confl uence in one bunch of many positrons, which are simultaneously created from all nearest DM, since they are not able to repulse one other because of the lack of DM around them (at this moment). The paper notes some important stages of my interaction with A.A. Rukhadze over the past 10 years in the exchange of letters and at seminars, what helped to the solution of the mystery of BL and the publication of this article. The data confi rming the essence of the electric field of «charged» particles as the ordered (circular) motion of the surrounding TM caused by their rotation are also given. This result, established at substantiation of the positron nature of the BL, indicates the beginning of new physics, the origin of which was supported by A.A. Rukhadze due to his assistance at implementation of this physical problem.
