MANAGADZE, A.L. BONDARENKO, A.E. CHUMIKOV This publication is devoted to scientifi c results obtained by onboard laboratory time-offlight tools that we developed in the frame of exotic instruments. These tools had different destinies and not many of them achieved a final goal - to take measurements in space, since their fl ight prototypes have been launched to space abroad. Many laboratory instruments were not always successful either, however, being in close proximity to us, we were able to improve them without diffi culties. These nuances of the use of our developments are truthfully and authentically described in the offered publication. As for how they were successful, authors suggest to readers to decide. In spite of the fact that these instruments were presented even before «perestroika», they still have not lose the relevance, because today and in the near and far future they will be demanded for the studying of the problems of origin of life and of a problem of populating of the Solar System planets.
