Engineering Physics Annotation << Back NEW METHOD OF SYNTHESIS SESTEMS WITY A GAP IN THE PHONON SPECTRUM E.I. SALAMATOV, A.V. TARANOV, E.N. KHAZANOV It is shown that the ceramics obtained by compacting, can demonstrate properties of phonon lattices – in their phonon spectrum can arrise area forbidden values (gap). The position and width of the gap in such systems is determined by the average grain size of ceramics, and the thickness and elastic properties of grain boundaries. The position control and the width of the slit in the synthesis of compacts discussed. The possibilities of the position and the gap width control in the synthesis of compacts are discussed.
