ANHARMONICITY OF THE LARGE-AMPLITUDE LANGMUIR OSCILLATIONS AND THEIR DEVELOPMENT PHENOMENOLOGY |

With consideration of the electrons, oscillating in a cold collisionless plasma in absence of a magnetic field, there is estimated a contribution of higher-order Fourier-harmonics into momentum and electric field. Growth of this contribution, characterizing anharmonicity of the oscillations, is demonstrated with increasing of amplitude. In ultrarelativistic limit there is explained a greater anharmonicity of the electric fi eld oscillations in comparison with those of momentum. The simplest calculations taking into account the energy dissipation are performed. In the simple manner the features of pumping&dumping of the relativistic electron oscillations are demonstrated.
