OPTIMIZATION OF DOPPLER REFLECTOMETRY SYSTEM FOR OPERATION IN HIGH ENERGY INPUT IN THE L-2M STELLARATOR |

Contactless diagnostics of high-temperature plasma in systems of magnetic confi nement is associated with many problems and requires unusual engineering solutions. Powerful sources of microwave radiation (gyrotron) is used to heat the plasma. It also interferes with the detection of low-power diagnostic signals. Because of the design features of the diagnosis unit (in particular, dimensional waveguide paths sizes) extra interdigital fi lters is proved to be impossible. It took the development and production of an additional filter to a frequency of 75 GHz, a different type. To ensure the operation of the Doppler backscatter registration system (DOR) in the L-2M stellarator designed and manufactured notch fi lter is based on Fabry-Perot resonator for a frequency of 75 GHz (the fundamental frequency electron cyclotron plasma heating). The fi ber optic transmission line from the ADC to PC is used during the experiment to reduce the noize. Calculations and modeling of the fi lter were carried out in computer-aided design EMPro, then the fi nished fi lter coefficients measured the actual suppression. Optimization of Doppler refl ectometry system successfully allowed to measure the spectra of DOR in the L-2M stellarator with energy input capacity up to 3 MW/m3.
