ON THE ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES ON A NANOTUBE SURFACE FROM A CYLINDRICAL SINGLE-LAYER GRAPHENE

The spectra of electromagnetic waves on a surface of cylindrical single-layer metal similar material (nanotube) like a graphene, or and a borofene are investigated. Expressions for a tensor of dielectric permeability, the dispersive equations and spectra of oscillations under the conditions when spatial dispersion can be neglected are obtained. It is shown that on a surface of single-layer nanotube there are oscillations of two types: oscillations of volume type with the fi eld localized on a surface and oscillations of surface type in which the fi eld exponential falls down on both sides out of a nanotube surface. It is shown that at large wave numbers ranges of both surface, and volume waves don’t reach limit values, but continue to grow with growth of wave number.
