REVISITING THE REST MASS OF THE NEUTRINO |

The conventional theory of β-decay and the Deformation model approaches are comparative
analyzed. Based on the Deformation model, the shock acceleration of the particle
mass is the cause of the neutrino generation. Particularly, in case of β-decay the cause
of the neutrino generation is the shock acceleration of the electron or positron that has
broken away from the nucleus. According to the Deformation model, the neutrino does not
have the rest mass. It is proposed to estimate the boundary energy of the β-spectrum to
prove out that the neutrino is the particle without the rest mass. The lower energy beta-ray
spectrum boundaries and β-decay energy relation is analyzed. The neutrino generation
correlation to the earthquake activity has been found experimentally, that is consistent
with the Deformation model, based on which the shock acceleration of the particle mass
is the cause of the neutrino generation.
