Researches of the energy distribution of plasma electrons in the condition of overlapping of cyclotron resonances |

The mechanism of plasma heating, which placed in a cylindrical cavity, by the field of the microwave pulse from the magnetron has been experimentally investigated. It was shown a quick (during the rise time of the pulse) and fairly efficient heating of the plasma under conditions of overlapping nonlinear cyclotron resonances. It is found that after influence of the external pulse in the resonator with a plasma, after expiration of a sufficiently long time, there are excited several RF bursts. Plasma heating is accompanied by sufficiently hard X-rays. The qualitative explanations of the observed processes are given.
