About some features of mechanical behaviour cantilevers of atomno-power microscopes |

Conceptions of structure and work of AFM are usually based on idealized models of its elements. Thus the main mechanical element of AFM, cantilever is considered as a uniform rectangular clamped console. Two improvements of the mechanical model of the cantilever are considered in the present paper. The first improvement of the theoretical presentations is related to accounting for variation of mass and rigidity of the cantilevers along their length. Such variations due to covering, imperfection of technology, etc play an important role mainly in dynamic mode [1, 2]. Another improvement deals with flexibility of clamping of cantilevers. In both cases the contribution of the corresponding parameters to static and dynamic characteristics is analyzed. Keywords: Cantilever, elasticity, bending, oscillation.
