Influence of water’s microleakage on radial
electric field in the edge plasma of L-2M stellarator

Describes the results of studies on the influence of water’s microleakage on poloidal rotation velocity of plasma near the edge closed magnetic surface in the L-2M stellarator. Measurements were carried out in the framework of the registration lines of the hydroxyl OH in process modeling water leaks, resulting in the dissociation of water molecules in contact with the plasma with parameters characteristic of the L-mode confinement in ITER. In the plasma boundary detected the decrease in the rate of rotational velocity of plasma is 5…10 times and thus the radial electric field. Doppler reflectometer signals can serve as an additional indicator of the optical methods for the detection of water microleaks in toroidal systems.
