THE NATURE OF REDSHIFTS IN SPECTRA OF DISTANT GALAXIES |
A.A. BARENBAUM
A nondoppler mechanism of redshifts in spectra of distant galaxies is proposed, based on three fundamental physical laws: the law of energy conservation, law of universal gravitation and law of constancy of light speed. In accordance with this mechanism, Hubble’s law is explained by the loss of energy by photons due to overcoming by them the gravitational attraction force of cosmic medium on the way from distant galaxies to the Earth. The Hubble constant was expressed by a theoretical formula. Based on the value of the Hubble constant, with using this formula the average density of matter in Metagalaxy was calculated. Representations of Galactocentric paradigm, according to which this «substance» is presented by long-evolved stars of small masses that are in intergalactic space and show little express itself in radiation, are confirmed. Some other consequences of this concept are discussed.
Key words: redshifts, Hubble’s law, Galactocentric paradigm, average density of matter in Metagalaxy.
