DYNAMIC EVALUATION OF MODIFIED SYNCHROSCAN CAMERA WITH THE HELP OF FEMTOSECOND LASER INSTALLATION |

Provided are the comparative tests of GPI-made experimental samples of the image converter
cameras: synchroscan and dissector. This work was done within the frame of picosecond
dissectors creation intended for synchroscan radiation diagnostics. The described measurements were fulfi lled with the help of a specially built test-installation constructed
on the basis of Ti:Sa laser which radiates 30 fs single pulses at 75,3 MHz repetition rate and 810 mm wavelength. For both samples, the similar PIF-01 time-analyzing image-
converter tubes (ICT) were used. To record the time-dispersed images from the ICT screen, the lense-coupling CCD camera was employed (synchroscan mode). In case of dissector, the time dispersed electron images displayed over screen plane were recorded with vacuum photoelectron multiplier, installed in the same vacuum envelope as ICT, through 45 μm slit covered by 400 nm secondary emission Al-foil. Preliminary experimental results exibit maximum time resolution, close to 3,5 ps for dissector and 4 ps for synchroscan confi guration.
