The analysis of the force action of a turbulent gas jet |

The paper presents the results of experimental studies of the impingement of turbulent gas jet discharging from round-edged orifices with a diameter less than 2 mm and pressure differential not more than 30 kPa on impediments of various shapes. The investigations of the dependence of force action of gas jet on impediment on affecting values were done. The influence of impediment shape on the shape factor for different values of the orifice diameter and the distance from it to the impediment was studied. It is established that the force action of the jet on an impediment is almost unchanged at the distance up to 500 diameters of the orifice.
