The principles of electrostatics and magnitostatics are stated in this chapter. The basis characteristically problems of this issue of modern electrodynamics are considered. Namely, the existence conditions of nontrivial solutions of electrostatics and magnitostatics field equations in the absence of sources, i.e. charges and currents are determined and the fields are founded for a simplest geometry: plane, cylindrical and spherical. Then from the solutions of these equations it is shown that far from the sources they coincide with the solutions for free fields, i.e. in the absence of sources. At the last the characteristic problems of motions of charged particles in the static electric and magnetic fields are investigated.
