ELECTROMAGNETIC VACUUM
OF LANGMUIR WAVES AND LONG WAVE PHOTONS IN COLD PLASMA

It is stressed the necessity of consideration the quantum properties of electromagnetic field in cold electron-ion plasma. If plasma temperature is equal to zero then the electromagnetic field quantum’s are absent but the vacuum oscillations of Langmuir waves are present. They change the electron properties of plasma. The investigations are performed on the basis equations of quantum electrodynamics. The transformation of operators -equations in Heisenberg representa-tion to the integral equations is fulfilled by the method of quantum Greens functions and the conventional procedure of correlator braking. It is shown that the action of quantum longitudinal electro-magnetic field is significant and manifests itself on macroscopic level. It dramatically changes as the optical plasma properties and the chemical potential of electron gas. As the consequence’s all formulae describing the thermal emission of electron from metals and contact potential differences are considerably changed. The dielectric permittivity by taking into account the quantum properties of longitudinal electromagnetic field is calculated. It is predicted the appearance of two branches of free oscillations of cold plasma. One of such branches describes the quantum electron sound.
